I am sitting in a coffee shop in Morley drinking coffee and eating a blueberry muffin. This is after i had a yummy breakfast at a corporate event this morning.
What an amazing start to a day. What an amazing life i have been gifted.
Before my coffee i went into Kmart. At the check out i got the usual pleasant “good morning how are you?” To which my reply was “spectacular thank you.” This snd “amazing thank you.” have become expressions from my mouth in the last year. My first year out of that Phuket hell.
What has pleased me is watching the reaction to people when you make such a reply. So many people when asked how they are like to reply with, “fine thanks” or maybe just “ok”. So when confronted with a “spectacular” or “awesome” the reaction is a joy to watch. First there is the double take where they look to see if i am serious. The smile on my lips quickly confirms i am truly having a wonderful day. Then a smile comes across their lips and spreads into their face and finally the eyes sparkle.
To see this transformation of another human beings workd even if only for a moment is enough to reinforce the wonderment i feel every day now.
When you wake up no matter how you feel, if you conciously choose to make today an awesome day it is amazing how such a day appears before you as you pass through it. Some might call it a self fulling prophecy. I call it just realising EVERY DAY IS AMAZING. 🙂
